LOT Polish Airlines has announced the launch of connections to three new destinations, increased frequencies on some routes and a return to China’s newest airport.
This year, after a break of almost four years, LOT will resume regular flights between Warsaw and Athens. The first plane will take off for the Greek capital from the capital’s Fryderyk Chopin Airport on 11 April.
The first regular flight to Saudi Arabia is scheduled for early June. The summer route network will include three flights a week to the capital, Riyadh. Also in June, the Polish carrier will resume regular flights to Daxing Airport in Beijing. The first aircraft landed there in mid-January 2020. However, due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the connection was quickly suspended. LOT planes will fly to this airport four times a week.
LOT has decided to open a regular service from Warsaw to Tashkent. The first plane to the Uzbek capital will take off on 23 February. In addition, LOT aims to increase the frequency of flights to the Japanese capital, Tokyo. Now, flights run four times a week, from April there will be six.
LOT’s planes will also be flying more frequently to Georgia’s capital Tbilisi, to Armenia’s capital Yerevan and to Azerbaijan’s capital Baku. One of LOT’s major goals for 2024 is to strengthen its position in South Korea. According to the carrier, due to the amendment of the bilateral agreement between Poland and South Korea, there is an opportunity to increase the frequency of connections. In April, LOT announces six, instead of four, flights from Warsaw to Seoul.
For holidays, LOT announces several direct connections from Radom airport. Connections to Preveza in Greece and Tirana, the capital of Albania, will be resumed. Flights to Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, and Ohrid in Macedonia will be launched.
