LOT Polish Airlines is lowering ticket prices for adult passengers from Ukraine – the national carrier informed. The offer applies to travel from Poland, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia and will be valid until May 31 this year.
LOT Polish Airlines decided to support Ukrainians seeking shelter from the war through a special discount offer. Passengers with a Ukrainian passport can take advantage of large discounts on short-distance and long-distance travel from Poland, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia. In this way, the Polish carrier wants to make it easier for Ukrainians to move away from their home plunged in a brutal war.
– We inform our passengers from Ukraine about a dedicated offer including lower ticket prices as well as flexible return and modification rules. The offer applies to travel from Poland, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia from February 25 to May 31, and is available at the Contact Center and airport offices of PLL LOT – the national carrier said on Twitter.
For adult passengers the discount will be 30%, 50% for children, and 99% discount for infants on an adult’s lap. Ukrainian passengers will be able to change their booking free of charge, even in the event of a no-show, they will have the option of returning tickets that have not been returnable before, with a deduction, and the option of adding an additional piece of baggage within the baggage allowance (23 kg) to the purchased ticket in the fare without baggage.
Since February 24, when the Russian aggression against Ukraine began, a total of over 1.3 million refugees from Ukraine have arrived in Poland, the Border Guard announced on Wednesday, March 9. 93% of them are Ukrainians, the remaining 7%. are citizens of countries all over the world, about 100 different nationalities.
