Kozminski University was ranked 30th in the world and first in Central and Eastern Europe in the ranking of business schools that most effectively teach finance at Master’s level. The ranking was prepared by the Financial Times and included 55 of the world’s best business schools.
Finance and accounting studies at ALK have a total of approx. 700 students, including 300 studying at Master’s level. The university educates a total of 10 thousand students, including 1500 foreigners from 80 countries. The curriculum covers the full spectrum of topics needed in the financial industry in order to gain critical insight and forecasting skills in times of a volatile and ambiguous environment.
“By teaching in English, we equip our graduates with universal competencies that are valued everywhere in the world. Well-qualified financiers make a global career because the same international standards apply everywhere in this discipline” says the rector of ALK, Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek.
Prof. Jacek Tomkiewicz, Dean of the College of Economics and Finance at Kozminski University, adds that finance studies at Kozminski University are not only universal and can offer a chance for a career all over the world, but also, due to the constant demand for accounting services and consulting in this field, are resistant to any economic turmoils, crisis or inflation.
“Accountants and advisors graduating from prestigious universities will always manage in the Polish, European and global labour market”, says Prof. Tomkiewicz.
The winner of this year’s ranking is the French HEC Paris. The second place is taken by ESCP Business School, ALK’s strategic partner. The famous American MIT Sloan School of Management is only ninth. ALK took 30th place, being the leader in Central and Eastern Europe.
