Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński expressed his strong belief that Russia has a plan to divide Ukraine and occupy its “Russian” part. “If its plan for Ukraine’s humiliating defeat is executed, it will be a defeat of the West; a disaster that makes fleeing Afghanistan a minor matter. Let us remember that this is a fight between Russia and the West”, said Kaczyński.

Kaczyński emphasized that the embargo on energy resources from Russia could play a key role in the defense of Ukraine.

“If the largest sources of money are cut off, first oil, then gas, coal and other raw materials, Russia will find itself in a very difficult situation, in other words, it will be put under great pressure. This can also be an effective way to save Ukraine and bring it to a state in which it will be able to rebuild after the war devastation and strengthen its international and military position”, said Kaczyński.

During the interview, Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński also referred to the Smolensk catastrophe and said that the situation will need “internationalization of the investigation” in this matter.

“We already know a lot about what really happened at the Smolensk airport. We have no doubt that it was an attack, but we are currently in a slightly more difficult situation about this case but I hope, we will deal with it and the end will probably confirm that”, added Kaczyński.
