Poland’s InPost Group has entered into a multi-year partnership with English Premier League football club Newcastle United, becoming its official global delivery partner.
In the UK, InPost offers deliveries to 6,000 Paczkomat devices and nearly 1,200 PUDO points. It is also a shareholder in Menzies Distribution Group Limited, a logistics company operating in the UK and Ireland markets.
“Our partnership with Newcastle United will strengthen InPost’s position in the UK. We offer the best parcel delivery solutions and sport is our strategic communication pillar across Europe. We are proud that InPost’s key partners have been joined by a football team with whom we share similar values and beliefs. And, most importantly, this comes at such an important time for InPost – the intensive expansion in the UK market. Both InPost and Newcastle aim for the best results – so our partnership is only natural. And the international reach and popularity of the club will bring new growth opportunities for InPost Group”, said InPost Group founder and CEO Rafal Brzoska.
Newcastle United commercial director Peter Silverstone said InPost and Newcastle United share a common approach to innovation and a commitment to excellence, including in parcel delivery. “St. James’ Park stadium is at the heart of the city and in the hearts of the fans – something InPost has recognised. Therefore, the Parcel Machine facility at the stadium will provide both fans and all residents with a convenient option to use InPost’s services”, he added.
InPost offers delivery to Parcel Machines (Paczkomat) across the UK, with residents in London, Birmingham and Manchester averaging a seven-minute walk to the nearest InPost machine. The partnership with Newcastle United gives the company the opportunity to grow rapidly in the North East, with the option to increase its customer base to more than two million.
