After two years, on May 1st, the World’s Largest Guitar Orchestra is returning to the Wrocław Market Square and will concert there for the 20th time. The participants including Jan Borysewicz, Dżem, Happysad and Luxtorpeda as well as famous musical families will try to break the Guitar World Record by playing together the song “Hey Joe” by Jimi Hendrix. On the occasion of the anniversary, musicians from Dire Straits will also perform in Wrocław.
The Wrocław Market Square will turn into a guitar town with four stages, workshops, attractions for children and a guitar cinema, and in the green zone it will be possible to power the instruments on your own with eco-bikes. During the jubilee of the largest guitar festival in Europe, guitar enthusiasts will arrange the heart shape from raised instruments to show solidarity and support in war-torn Ukraine.
At the invitation of Leszek Cichoński, the originator of the event, well-known musical families will also play the guitar at the Wrocław Market Square including Jose Torres with his son Filip, jazz saxophonist Piotr Baron with his son Aleksander from the Afromental band, as well as the vocalist of the Dżem group Maciej Balcar with his son.

The orchestra will also be joined by Oskar Worgacz, who in 2009 as a 3.5-year-old guitarist played on stage with the guitarist of Deep Purple, Steve Mors.
On the 15th anniversary of the death of the father of Polish blues, Tadeusz Nalepa, the guitarists will play the legendary hit “When I Was a Little Boy”, and by performing the song “51” they will pay tribute to Andrzej Nowak, who died this year, the guitarist of the TSA group, who was a frequent guest of Guitar Records Festival in Wrocław.
