Elon Musk to fly to Poland. He announced his participation in a conference in Krakow and Auschwitz

by Dignity News
Elon Musk has announced his participation in a conference on anti-Semitism in Krakow and Auschwitz. The news of Musk’s visit to Poland was confirmed by Deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Szejna. “The event is important in the context of the fight against anti-Semitism”, said Szejna.

The fact that the owner of Tesla and Platform X will participate in a symposium in Krakow and a ceremony at the former Auschwitz concentration camp was reported on Thursday by Bloomberg
Andrzej Szejna also announced that, as deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he will also be present at the congress, which may be attended by other politicians, including government representatives.
The deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the event itself is important above all in the context of the fight against anti-Semitism, racism and hate speech.

“I think this is probably the reason why Mr Musk is among the invited guests who have confirmed their attendance. Everyone recognises what a great threat to democracy, to human rights, to the EU is nationalism, populism, racism, and all manifestations of xenophobia, man-to-man hatred”, said Deputy Minister Szejna.

According to Bloomberg, Elon Musk is expected to take part in a discussion with US right-wing columnist Ben Shapiro at a symposium in Krakow on anti-Semitism on the internet, as well as in a ceremony at the former German Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz on 22-23 January. The event is being organised to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which falls a week later.

The agency recalled that Musk had already tentatively agreed to visit the camp last autumn during a live discussion with EJA head Rabbi Menachem Margolin. At the time, he faced accusations of anti-Semitism when he agreed with an anonymous user of the X platform claiming that Jewish communities promote “hatred against whites” and are responsible for bringing “hordes of minorities that flood the country”. Musk later admitted that his statement was “one of the dumbest things” he had done.
