“Our warehouses are 85% full, we are ready to survive for the next months without Russian gas. We would like other countries in the European Union to follow our example and cut energy ties with Russia in order to cut off Putin’s oxygen and stop the war in Ukraine”, said Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Przydacz in an interview with Katy Tur on MSNBC.

“We knew that Russia could blackmail us with gas supplies and we were prepared for such a situation”, said Deputy Minister Przydacz and reminded that this is why a gas terminal in Świnoujście was established, through which American LNG gas can be delivered and the construction of the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline which will provide Poland with gas supplies from Norway.

The deputy chief of Polish diplomacy visits Washington, where he participates in a three-day meeting of the leaders of the Munich Security Conference. It is attended by several dozen politicians and experts, including heads of governments, foreign ministers, defense ministers and parliamentarians. The discussion concerns the most urgent challenges in the area of security.
