“In the first quarter of 2022, 92,882 company registrations were recorded, i.e. by 10.3%. more than in the corresponding period of 2021 and 88 bankruptcies, i.e. by 30.2% less, compared to the same period in 2021”, reports the Central Statistical Office (GUS) in the information signal regarding the registration and bankruptcy of enterprises in the first quarter of 2022.
Thus, the number of company registrations increased by 10.3% year- on – year, and bankruptcies fell by 30.2% y / y in Q1 2022. According to the GUS information, in Q1 2022 an increase in the number of registrations was observed in most of the analyzed sections: in information and communication by 30.5%, in transport and warehouse management by 21.7 %, in accommodation and catering by 15.6%, in construction by 10.5%, in services by 9.4% and in industry by 6.9%. The number of registrations decreased in trade; repair of motor vehicles (by 3.6%).
The number of bankruptcies of enterprises decreased by 17.9% in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the corresponding quarter of last year, the Central Statistical Office reported.
The number of bankruptcies of enterprises in the first quarter of 2022 amounted to 88 cases. A decrease in the number of bankruptcies was recorded in trade; repair of motor vehicles (11 vs. 34), services (13 vs. 23), industry (16 vs. 28) and accommodation and catering (5 vs. 9).
According to the GUS inforamtion, the number of bankruptcies increased in construction (26 vs. 16), information and communication (7 vs. 3) as well as transport and storage (7 vs. 5).
