Calls in the European Funds for the Modern Economy 2021-2027 programme to start soon

by DignityNews.eu

The 2023 call schedule for the European Funds for the Modern Economy 2021-2027 (FENG) programme is now available to beneficiaries. The first competitions will start at the beginning of February. This year, we are planning to launch 27 calls for proposals in the competitive mode and 16 in the non-competitive mode”, said Minister of Funds and Regional Policy Grzegorz Puda.
The total amount for the calls envisaged in the schedule of competitions for this year is almost EUR 4.7 billion (approximately PLN 21 billion). This is approximately 60% of the entire budget allocated for the implementation of this programme in the current financial perspective.
As the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy informs, the schedule will be updated at least once at the end of each quarter, covering the following quarter. If there is a justified need for changes, the Managing Authority will make additional updates to the document.
“The European Funds for the Modern Economy offer a wide range of competitions addressed to all eligible persons, i.e. companies, research organisations and business support institutions. The calls will concern all areas covered by the programme, including digital transformation and innovative projects which contribute to the development of the Polish economy,” said Grzegorz Puda.
More than half of the entire FENG 2021-2027 budget, or EUR 4.36 billion, will be allocated to the SMART path.  This is a new competition supporting R&D&I projects.  Calls from this path will be addressed to all entrepreneurs and will be implemented in the form of modular support. This means that the entrepreneur himself will be able to decide what and to what extent he intends to realise as part of the project. Only the R&D module or R&D implementation will be obligatory.
The European Funds for a Modern Economy 2021-2027 programme, with a budget of €7.9 billion, is the largest national programme that supports innovation in the European Union.
