Agreement to determine air traffic potential between Poland and Oman

by Dignity News

Polskie Porty Lotnicze (PPL) S.A. and Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC) have signed a letter of intent to establish cooperation and identify air traffic potential between Poland and Oman. Oman Airports is the company that manages the capital’s Muscat airport and other civilian airports in the Sultanate of Oman.

The two sides pledged to jointly explore new opportunities for cooperation, share experience in airport management and implement projects to encourage airlines to launch routes between the countries.

Promoting travel, both business and private, between the Sultanate of Oman and Poland, leaning into the problems of the global aviation sector and sharing lessons learnt after the pandemic were also among the listed objectives of the agreement.

“The signing of the letter of intent with Oman Airports Management Company is an important step for us to strengthen international relations and build strong partnerships in the aviation sector. We are convinced that this cooperation will bring numerous benefits to both parties, especially to travellers using the airports managed by our companies”, said Stanislaw Wojtera, President of PPL S.A. and Board Member of ACI Europe.

PPL S.A.’s cooperation with the Oman Airports Management Company also means strengthening cooperation within the structures of the Airports Council International (ACI), an international association of airports. Sheikh Aimen bin Ahmed Al Hosni, president of the OAMC, is a member of the board of directors of ACI World and Stanislaw Wojtera is a member of the board of directors of ACI Europe.

The OAMC administers airports in the Sultanate of Oman: Muscat International Airport, Salalah, Duqm and Sohar. It has also been managing regional airports for the past five years. The company is constantly modernising, improving and developing its subordinate airports.
