Artificial intelligence to help find jobs

by Dignity News

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly entering our lives, including our professional careers. It gives access to many new tools that can help us increase our chances of getting our dream job.

From the latest report by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) “Labour market, education, competences. Current trends and research results” (February 2024) shows that our country is making progress and has a great potential in terms of digital technologies.

In 2023, the number of companies implementing AI increased year-on-year by 22%. Additionally, 31% of companies intend to create new jobs in the next 12 months. This is a lot, especially as the registered unemployment rate in Poland remains low, at 5.4% in January this year. These figures show that the labour market will become increasingly drained in the near future, and artificial intelligence can help fill it.

Artificial intelligence is not only supposed to automate activities and replace people at work, but also support them in their actions. An example of this is writing and revising CVs through free tools available online (e.g. Rezi, CV Compiler). Based on our job title, AI can create a CV for us. All we have to do is enter the name of the position we are applying for and AI will generate the relevant points for us regarding our responsibilities and achievements.

Choosing a career path is not easy. We don’t always have precise expectations of our professional future, and we often don’t know whether the profession we decide on will be right for us. The creators of the POLA.IA start-up, which received financial support under the “Start-up platforms for new ideas” from the Programme for Eastern Poland (POPW), come to our assistance in this area. They have launched a Jobbli platform built with the idea of effectively finding a job – one that will be tailored to the user’s natural predispositions and will bring them satisfaction.
