Polish Armament Group joins ASD association

by Dignity News
Polish Armaments Group S.A. has joined the Brussels-based association Aerospace, Security and Defense Industries Association of Europe (ASD). This will allow the company to promote the interests of the defence industry in dialogue with European Union institutions.

The ASD association represents more than 4,000 companies, actively promoting the competitive development of the defence sector in Europe and worldwide. It has direct members, operating in 19 countries, including more than 40 major European companies and national associations.

The CEO of PGZ S.A. Sebastian Chwałek has been put forward to represent the company on the ASD’s board and to act as a director of the association, while Jakub Roszkowski, a member of the PGZ S.A. board, has been put forward to act as the company’s permanent deputy voting representative.

“The Polish Armaments Group has been operating in its current form for only a decade. But we are already a significant partner and participant in supply chains for all global players in our sector”, said Jakub Roszkowski, a member of the PGZ S.A. management board.

He stressed that by joining the ASD, “not only do we confirm the increasingly strong position of the Polish armaments industry on the European continent, but above all we open up new opportunities for dialogue with other entities and increase our chances of participating in large multi-year programmes carried out by entities associated in the ASD, which in their activities benefit from, among other things, EU funds.”

ASD focuses on civil aviation, defence, security, and space issues. The association is committed to maintaining and developing a competitive sector. To achieve this strategic objective, ASD analyses, formulates and sets policy positions for industry on key strategic sector issues, working with industry and EU institutions on a range of market developments and technological research projects.

The ASD also coordinates European and international policy, communication, analysis and provides support on the requirements and needs of its members, offering them the best opportunities for networking and development in the sector.
