Industrial piping manufacturer joins ORLEN Group

by Dignity News
ORLEN Projekt has signed a conditional agreement with the Industrial Development Agency for the purchase of 74.11 % of shares in Sochaczew-based ENERGOP. ENERGOP is an experienced manufacturer of industrial pipelines, specialising in installations for the refining, petrochemical and chemical sectors. The transaction will allow the ORLEN Group to secure the implementation of investment projects in critical infrastructure.

According to Daniel Obajtek, President of the Management Board of ORLEN, the inclusion of ENERGOP in the ORLEN Group will support the Group’s plans for the development of its key business areas, as by 2030 the company will have earmarked approximately PLN 170bn for infrastructure projects related to refinery production, gas extraction and marketing, and petrochemical production.

In all these segments, pipeline infrastructure plays an important role. “By joining the ORLEN Group, ENERGOP becomes a part of a strong, dynamically developing group, which guarantees the company and its employees a stable order portfolio and the possibility to further strengthen its competences”, Obajtek added.

As a result of the transaction, the ORLEN Group will create a comprehensive operating structure with an engineering and execution profile, specialising in the execution of industrial investments where technologically advanced pipelines are an important element. In addition to industrial pipelines, ENERGOP also manufactures steel structures, tanks and elements accompanying pipeline installations. Its offer includes both prefabrication and complete assembly of these installations.

“ORLEN Projekt has the status of a special-purpose company, established to carry out selected investment projects for ORLEN Group in such areas as industrial infrastructure. Many of these tasks are already being carried out directly or indirectly by ENERGOP. In 2022, as much as 80 % of the work carried out by this company was performed for ORLEN Group”, informed Marcin Kasza, CEO of ORLEN Projekt.
