The local government of the Lower Silesian Voivodship, together with the Institute for Eastern Studies, is once again organising the largest meeting, debate and discussion space in our part of Europe on the most important issues concerning economic development, international cooperation and the role of local governments. From 5 to 7 September, the XXXII Economic Forum will be held in Karpacz. The main topic of this year’s event is “New values of the Old Continent – Europe at the threshold of change”.

Participants in this year’s Economic Forum in Karpacz will have the opportunity to take part in over 470 panel discussions.

During the Forum, the 36th international conference Europe of the Carpathians will also take place. The three-day discussions will be attended by politicians, experts, and scientists. The main aim of the meetings will be to build a positive climate for the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, and to bring together at the level of institutions, NGOs, local governments, universities, and local communities.

The meetings will be attended by speakers from more than a dozen countries. Poland will be represented by representatives of the government and parliament. The event will be hosted by the head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, Minister Marek Kuchciński.

‘The Carpathian Mountains unite Europe and Europe unites people – across divisions and borders’, said the head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery.

During the Economic Forum in Karpacz, the award of the Man of the Year 2023 will be given to the US ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski.

‘This is a great honour for me. I will have the honour of receiving this award during the Economic Forum in Karpacz on behalf of the wonderful staff of the US Embassy in Warsaw and the US Consulate General in Krakow, who are the driving force behind the US mission in Poland and who work every day with deep commitment to strengthen Polish-American relations’, says Ambassador Mark Brzezinski in a post on the social networking site ‘X’.
