Elimen Group, a Polish startup developing electric drives, has signed a cooperation agreement with FLASH, a leader in India’s electric parts manufacturing sector for two- and three-wheelers.

Elimen Group reports that the joint project will be the first of its kind in India. The partnership with the Indian company is a very important step for the Polish entity on the road to international expansion. It provides a significant impetus for the development of modern electric propulsion systems important for building a green future of transport.

“We are looking forward to working with FLASH to develop and manufacture components for the fast-growing electric vehicle industry on the Indian market. With our knowledge and experience, we are able to create and develop electric drives that will find their way into mass production. India is one of Asia’s and the world’s largest markets and the potential for the development of electric components there is huge”, says Cezary Klimont, CEO of Elimen Group.

The cooperation between FLASH and Elimen Group will include the production of drives and controllers up to 300 kW for all segments of electric vehicles, from 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers to passenger and commercial vehicles as well as electric buses. In India, FLASH will manufacture and sell the systems developed by the Polish company, while Elimen Group will continue to serve the remaining international markets. According to the agreement, FLASH will invest the equivalent of PLN 87 million in the development of the joint project.

FLASH is based in Pune, one of the most important industrial centres in western India, where the automotive, defence and electronics industries are growing rapidly. FLASH is one of India’s leading manufacturers of electric vehicle components; it has been conquering the Indian passenger vehicle market for three decades, contributing to the creation of clean transport in one of the world’s most populous countries.
