KUL launches Study Programme for Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad

More than 160 people from Norway, Vietnam, Australia, Romania, the USA, France, the UK, the Czech Republic, France, Italy and Germany, have expressed their readiness to participate in courses at the KUL Study Centre for Poles and Polish Communities Abroad. The second venture was inaugurated on 4 March. 

The educational offer of the Catholic University of Lublin (KUL) includes training in the promotion of Polish culture, new media and communication, theology and the new evangelisation, chronic and palliative care, prevention of risky behaviour, counselling, and support strategies. There is also a new addition: a course for effective managers and team leaders, basics of management. The courses will start in March this year.

“In addition to the already operating office in Paris for Polish Diaspora and Poles from France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, we are planning to open such outlets in London, Germany and North America”, announces Father Professor Mirosław Kalinowski, rector of the Catholic University of Lublin and initiator of the study. There are also plans to establish a Polish Academy and organise Days of Polish Culture in Paris.

The KUL Study for Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad was inaugurated in November 2022. The first event has over 330 participants from 11 countries, including France, Germany, the UK, the USA and Canada. All classes are free of charge and are taught by professors, lecturers and experts of the Catholic University of Lublin in a hybrid mode: there are four two-day online sessions and two two-day hybrid sessions in the countries of the course participants (stationary with online streaming).

Graduates will receive KUL diplomas and certificates of study completion in Polish and English and a certificate in the language of their country of residence. Continuation of the studies will be possible for applicants. Detailed information on enrolment, course descriptions and timetable are available at www.polonia.kul.pl. Enrolment will last until 17 March.
