by Dignity News
The Polish Economic Institute (PIE) has checked to what extent Polish companies, considering their nature, scale and potential, are interested in participating in the process of rebuilding the Ukrainian state. Declarations by entrepreneurs show that as many as 38 % of Polish companies are ready to cooperate with entities implementing projects in Ukraine (also as subcontractors).

46% of manufacturing companies are interested in cooperation with other companies. Slightly less interest was shown by representatives of companies involved in transport, forwarding and logistics (TSL) and construction – 43 % and 42% respectively, reports PIE.

Entrepreneurs primarily rely on cooperation with other companies. This is hardly surprising, as entering into partnerships bring less risk in uncertain times. However, it is worth noting that cooperation is the most capacious formula for business and many companies, regardless of size or industry, can find their way in it. Micro-entrepreneurs (43% of indications) and representatives of small business (35% of indications) are primarily focused on cooperation with other companies. It is clear that the challenge of the process of rebuilding Ukraine can be a development opportunity for small Polish companies.

Among representatives of manufacturing companies, more than half declare an interest in exporting products to Ukraine (as much as 53%). Nevertheless, businessmen from the TSL (41%) and construction (31%) sectors are most interested in exporting services to this country.

The percentage of entrepreneurs willing to bear the risk of investing in Ukraine amounted to 12%. Among the companies determined to invest in Ukraine, the highest percentage of indications refers to manufacturing companies (18%). 13% of representatives of the trade sector and 11% of businessmen from the construction sector showed willingness to invest.
