Polish actor Marcin Dorocinski has confirmed that he will star in the next parts of the “Mission: Impossible” series. “I will be playing in the last two parts of the Ethan Hunt saga”, he wrote on Instagram.
Rumours had been circulating online for some time that Dorocinski would star in the Hollywood production, but no one before confirmed this information. Now, all clues to that the Polish actor will feature in the seventh and eighth parts of ‘Mission Impossible’. Titled ‘Dead Reckoning’, the story has been split into two parts. The first will premiere on 12 July 2023, the second on 26 June 2024
“I saw Tom Cruise in ‘Top Gun’ and on posters at a friend’s house, and I saw the film set from outside my window while driving the 119 bus past the Documentary and Feature Film Studio in Warsaw at Chełmska Street. And if someone had told me then that 26 years later I would be starring in the final two parts of the Ethan Hunt’s saga, with the director who wrote the screenplay for ‘Suspects’ and ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ I would have said ‘no, that’s not possible’, tapped his forehead and walked away at once”, wrote Dorocinski.
The actor has previously starred in Netflix’s international hit series The Queen’s Gambit, where he played a Soviet chess grandmaster. Dorociński admitted that success does not happen by itself, and the road to it is sometimes extremely long, occupied with sacrifices, failures, downfalls, and disappointments.
“The first casting I received from my London agency was ‘Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol’. I lost it. Since then, I have recorded over 1,200 self tapes. And I’ve lost them all. I won my first self tape last year – after more than ten years of painstaking recording, great hopes and efforts. After 1,200 previous painful and severe failures. So, believe in your dreams and don’t give up. Your big dream, your long-awaited dreams may be waiting around the corner. Have patience and courage”, concluded Dorocinski.
