The XV Smart City Forum will be held in Warsaw on 22-23 November 2022. The event will be attended by city mayors, local government administration specialists and presidents and executives of companies operating in the smart city area.
Smart City Forum is the most important congress in Poland devoted to the functioning and development of smart cities. It is a kind of response to the transformation that is taking place on a global scale, which concerns the construction and functioning of modern mi-cities or entire regions.
The Congress will be inaugurated by debates: The Summit of City Leaders and the Debate of Experts, Business and Local Governments, focused on smart savings and smart investing. Speakers will analyse the economic state of the state and local governments, crisis management strategies in the coming months and summarise the application of smart-city technology and the most important investments in cities. The experts’ debate will be based on issues such as sources of savings and investment financing, cooperation within the framework of public-private partnerships (PPP), the National Reconstruction Plan (KPO) for local governments and the role of marshal and provincial offices in financing investments in municipalities.
The Forum will also discuss the perspective of local government units towards the transformation of the energy sector, including possible actions of local governments in the face of the energy crisis and the 2022/2023 heating season, the process of modernising lighting, and counteracting energy poverty.
Assumptions for the implementation of the Green Cities idea will be also considered including investments in RES, energy clusters, modern municipal management in local government, urban cleaning technologies and good practices of green transformation. The speakers will also analyse the key elements of the data economy in the city.
