More than 4100 applications for subsidies have already been received by the Bank for Environmental Protection (BOŚ) under the leasing path of the ‘My Electric car’ programme. More than 3100 of them have already been positively assessed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW), and the total value of the subsidy has reached PLN 98 million.
In the first year of operation of the leasing path in the ‘My Electric car’ programme, the greatest interest was shown for passenger cars. As many as 2 600 of the applications accepted so far by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management concerned this type of vehicle, and the total value of subsidies granted amounted to PLN 79.5 million. For delivery vans, 480 applications for a total of PLN 27 million have already been approved. In addition, leasing companies’ customers have obtained leasing subsidies for 70 two- and three-wheel vehicles.
The ‘MY ELECTRIC CAR’ programme was created by NFOŚiGW as a form of support for the purchase or leasing of zero-emission vehicles for individuals and companies. The undertaking is aimed at promoting ecological measures to reduce pollutant emissions.
It is a flagship initiative supporting the government’s efforts in electromobility. The high interest in the subsidies confirms that the market has been waiting for this type of instrument and has enthusiastically welcomed the programme. The absorption of funds is high, and I am convinced that the next year will bring even better results”, said Ireneusz Zyska, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Climate and Environment and Government Plenipotentiary for Renewable Energy Sources.
It should be recalled that BOŚ received PLN 20 million at the inauguration of the programme. At the moment, it is already PLN 200 million. In the ‘My Electric car’ programme, the maximum amount of funding for an individual customer is PLN 27 000 and for entrepreneurs PLN 70 000.
