Unfortunately, right after it, when it slowly fades away, the Russians attacked Ukraine and as a result, the deterioration of the security situation, the enormous challenge in our part of Europe, just across our border, has happened”, emphasized the president.

Andrzej Duda also drew attention to economic issues including price increases and inflation in European countries, additionally increased by the phenomena related to the war in Ukraine and by the increase in commodity prices and energy prices.

“Today we are struggling with many adversities. But I want to assure you of a few points. First of all, that in an absolutely common sense, hard, courageous and wise way we watch over the issues of Poland’s safety, as well as military security”, emphasized the president and added that many matters were settled on time.

“We have adopted the law on the duty to defend the homeland on time. I believe that in the next few years we will increase the size of the Polish army, but above all that we have been securing the modernization of the army, which we started in earnest a few years ago by ordering Patriot missile defense systems from the United States, Himars missile artillery and F-35 fighters”, said the president.
