Ministry of Education and Science has started public consultations on the Edukacja.gov.pl project. Its goal is to create a portal and an individual account for each student and graduate, modelled on m.obywatel or patient.gov.pl. “It will improve citizens’ access to their education-related documents”, said Przemysław Czarnek, the head of the Ministry of Education and Science.
During the press conference, the head of the Ministry of Education spoke about investments in modern equipment in every school, as exemplified by the Future Labs in all primary and secondary schools. He noted that all schools in Poland are connected to high-speed internet, including over 90% of them to broadband internet,
“In addition, Poland is making investments worth billions within covid funds in modern equipment, computers and various digital devices. All this means that computerization in Polish schools is indeed at a very high level, often higher than in some countries of Western Europe”, assessed Minister Czarnek.
The head of the ministry of education and science emphasized that the portal Edukacja.gov.pl and an individual account for each student and graduate are other steps toward modernizing the Polish school and better access for all citizens to documents related to education.
The minister’s plenipotentiary for digital transformation, Justyna Orłowska, emphasized that all groups of teachers, students, parents, graduates, scholars and entrepreneurs who already provide certain educational solutions for schools are invited to consultations.
“We are developing the project modularly, so each module will be consulted with users, just like modern software is created”, Orłowska explained and added that an individual account will provide services that will be indicated during the consultations and which will be successively implemented on the portal”, added Orłowska.
