The Polish Automotive Industry Association (PZPM) reported on the basis of preliminary data from the Central Vehicle Register that the number of registrations of new commercial vehicles over 3.5 tons in Poland amounted to 3,063 in May 2022, which means a year-on-year increase of 2.4%.
2,978 trucks were added to the register. It was the second-highest month result in the history of statistics after May 2019, when 3,196 vehicles were registered.
The bus market declined by 34.6% y / y and achieved the result of 85 items. From the beginning of the year, it was the second month with a decline after February (-28.1%). The other months recorded increases: January this year + 14%, March + 36%, April + 13%. The level was even lower than the result from May 2020, in the first year of the pandemic, when 97 units were registered. The bus market is highly unstable. Previously, tractor registrations grew continuously for 16 months – from October 2020 to January this year.
