The Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, spoke to the Federal Minister of Education and Research of Germany, Bettina Stark-Watzinger. The online meeting concerned support for Ukraine in education and science. It was the first conversation between the head of the Ministry of Education and Science and Minister Bettina Stark-Watzinger.

One of the key topics discussed during the meeting was support for Ukraine in education and science. Minister Przemysław Czarnek informed the German minister about initiatives for the benefit of the Ukrainian educational, academic and scientific community. Bettina Stark-Watzinger expressed her appreciation for Poland and for its activities in this area.

The head of MEiN emphasized that the last years of Polish-German cooperation in education and science maintained its dynamics and intensity despite global crises and showed the strength of good-neighbourly relations. He noted that they should be maintained and strengthened as part of academic and scientific contacts.

Minister Przemysłąw Czarnek also expressed his readiness to continue the existing Polish-German projects in education and science. The cooperation programs are conducted jointly with German partners by national agencies: the National Agency for Academic Exchange, the National Center for Research and Development and the National Science Center.

The ministers expressed their hope for intensifying contacts and meeting in person in Poland or Germany.
