TAURON Group will participate in rebuilding the energy infrastructure in Ukraine. The aid program is implemented in cooperation with the Governmental Agency for Strategic Reserves.

“Regardless of the actions taken to rebuild the country, now, where possible, TAURON is securing energy supplies to homes and rebuilding damaged energy networks. Providing the necessary equipment and materials is a sign of our solidarity with Ukraine”, says Paweł Szczeszek, CEO of TAURON Group.

The first tranche of technical support from the TAURON Group was implemented in March. Ukraine then received 25 transformers and six tons of power cables.

In the last days of April, another transport with elements of energy infrastructure was sent to Ukraine. The energy equipment provided by TAURON in the 2nd tranche includes 15 km of power cables, 168 poles, 13 reels and nearly 4 thousand additional elements for the construction of power lines.

The destroyed Ukrainian infrastructure will need urgent reconstruction after the end of the war. Infrastructure facilities that guarantee water and fuel supplies or logistic centers cannot work without electricity. “Without stable energy supplies, it will also be impossible to carry out construction works on a large scale”, says Jerzy Topolski, vice president of TAURON Group.

Since the beginning of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, the TAURON Group has been carrying out extensive activities supporting war refugees. The energy leader has prepared special customer service channels in Ukrainian. It is a dedicated, simplified website that allows Ukrainians to deal with the most common matters. They will find the most important information, e.g. on the conclusion of an energy supply contract for Ukrainian citizens and for non-governmental organizations supporting them. Ukrainian citizens can also talk to TAURON consultants in their native language.
