PKO Bank Polski’s online currency exchange for individual customers has been operating since the beginning of 2018 on the iPKO website. From July 2019, customers can also make transactions on the IKO mobile app. Last year, more than 61 % of transactions were made at the exchange office by Poles, and almost 39 % of them were foreigners.<\/p>\n
Customers make the most transactions at the exchange office during the holiday months (July and August) – turnover during this time accounted for 16.9 % of the annual customer turnover for the whole of 2023.<\/p>\n
“We are pleased to see such a high level of customer interest in PKO Bank Polski’s online exchange facility. Combined with products such as a foreign currency account and a multi-currency card, the exchange app makes it possible to quickly handle everyday payments in foreign currencies at attractive exchange rates, for example now during foreign holiday trips”, emphasises Pawe\u0142 Placzke, Director of the Individual Client Products Department at PKO Bank Polski.<\/p>\n
Analysing clients by the regions of Poland where they originate, residents of Mazowsze (8.48 % of clients), Silesia (7.36 %) and Wielkopolska (7.33 %) were the most likely to use a PKO Bank Polski exchange service last year, while residents of the following provinces Opolskie (4.90 %), Lubuskie (4.88 %) and \u015awi\u0119tokrzyskie (4.61 %) were the least likely to do it.<\/p>\n
The exchange app for individual customers of PKO Bank Polski is available on IKO and iPKO 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It enables the exchange of 9 currencies at attractive rates. Among other things, it allows users to follow currency charts online and to benefit from SMS and push notifications\/alerts when the currency rate reaches a level set by the customer.<\/p>\n
The currency exchange service is one of the components of PKO Bank Polski’s 3-in-1 currency package. In addition to it, the package includes a currency account and a multi-currency card.<\/p>\n
