According to Grigoriev, we will see the effects of the investment boom in charging infrastructure in late 2024 and early 2025. Many major projects are currently under construction. Powerdot alone is in the process of building around 1,500 charging points. As part of its investments, it is cooperating with, among others: Biedronka, retail parks, petrol stations or franchisees of retail chains, such as the Intermarche group.<\/p>\n
“A mass of investments carried out all over Poland by Powerdot and other operators are currently in the phase of awaiting decisions of energy companies regarding the construction of connections or waiting for the acceptance of already constructed stations by the Office of Technical Inspection. Most of these investments are not yet visible, as formal procedures are underway, but by the end of 2024 and early 2025 we will see a real rash of charging points in Poland”, announced the general director of Powerdot in Poland.<\/p>\n
According to Grigoriev, the number of stations in 2024 will increase to 10,000, which will be a 70 % increase in infrastructure compared to the previous year, although the rate of investment last year was already twice as high as in 2022. Moreover, there will be a significant increase in the proportion of high-powered stations, which will make charging electric vehicles easier and faster. 10,000 publicly accessible charging points means around 3-4,000 locations where an electric car can be charged.<\/p>\n
Powerdot is a pan-European operator and investor in charging stations with Portuguese roots. It operates in six European countries. It currently has 3,500 charging points for electric cars. A further 11,000 are under construction. In Poland, Powerdot has launched 250 points, while a further 1,500 points remain under development.<\/p>\n
