Construction work will start later this year, and testing and commissioning of the onshore station is planned for 2026 and 2027. The order is worth PLN 2.3 billion.<\/h5>\n<p>The onshore connection infrastructure for the Baltica 2 project will be built near the village of Osieki L\u0119borskie in the commune of Choczewo, in the poviat of Wejherowo, Pomeranian voivodeship. The task of constructing the onshore connection includes the construction of a 275\/400 kV extra-high voltage substation and the onshore export lines necessary to lead the power from the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm into the national electricity system.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This year we are proceeding with the construction of the onshore transformer substation and onshore export lines for Baltica 2, i.e. the connection infrastructure necessary to derive 1.5 GW of power from our first offshore wind farm. It is with the onshore connection that the construction of the offshore power plant begins. Baltica 2 will provide energy for Pomerania, which is currently largely supplied from southern Poland. The additional source will increase energy security not only for the region, but for the whole country. The first electricity from Baltica 2 will be fed into the National Power System in 2027&#8221;, said Wojciech D\u0105browski, president of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna.<\/p>\n<p>The joint venture between PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna and the Danish government-controlled \u00d8rsted is planning to complete the construction of the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm with a capacity of about 1.5 GW by the end of 2027, while the Baltica 3 stage with a capacity of about 1 GW by 2030.
