The investment is planned to be realised on the premises of a division of the copper company &#8211; G\u0142og\u00f3w smelter.<\/h5>\n<p>The investment comprises three photovoltaic farm projects: PV HM G\u0142og\u00f3w I, PV HM G\u0142og\u00f3w II and PV HM G\u0142og\u00f3w III, located on the industrial premises of the G\u0142og\u00f3w Copper Smelter. They will be built in the direct vicinity of consumer installations, including existing MV transformer stations, to which new projects are planned to be connected.<\/p>\n<p>Investment in photovoltaic farms is becoming a strategic element of KGHM&#8217;s development plans. &#8220;The modern world requires from us, the leaders of industry, not only efficient production, but also ecological responsibility. We know full well that copper is a key raw material for the world&#8217;s energy transition. By introducing photovoltaic farms into our generation asset structure, we are diversifying the way KGHM generates electricity, reducing costs and hedging against market volatility in the energy sector. We are investing in projects which are beneficial today, as well as in the long term&#8221;, said Tomasz Zdzikot, President of the Management Board of KGHM Polska Mied\u017a S.A.<\/p>\n<p>According to the copper company, the set of photovoltaic farm projects in G\u0142og\u00f3w is being developed under the supervision of the Renewable Energy Department of KGHM, in close cooperation with the G\u0142og\u00f3w smelter.<\/p>\n<p>Further RES projects planned for realisation on property owned by KGHM Polska Mied\u017a S.A. remain in the investment preparation process.
