The latest film from the makers of ‘Your Vincent’ has already been seen in Poland by more than 1.5 million viewers and is the best Polish film at the box office in four years. Since 8 December, ‘Peasants’ has entered distribution in other countries including the UK and Ireland. Specially for the Polish community in these countries, distributors have planned screenings in Polish with English subtitles. On the same day, screenings of the film also began in New York and Los Angeles and will continue until 14 December. This is an important stage of the Oscar campaign, as both members of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and influential critics will be invited to the screenings.<\/p>\n
“Peasants” is already listed by the most important foreign editors among the titles with the best chance of being nominated in the feature-length animation category. Variety has selected the Polish picture as a candidate for the so-called shortlist, while The Hollywood Reporter described the film as a “thrilling visual triumph”.<\/p>\n

The year 2024 marks the 100th anniversary of the Nobel Prize awarded to W\u0142adys\u0142aw Reymont for his novel Peasants.
