The Central Communication Port (CPK) and the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network have signed a framework cooperation agreement assuming the possibility of using the results of \u0141ukasiewicz’s scientific and research works in the design and construction of the CPK.<\/p>\n
Cooperation with the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network will provide the Central Communication Port with research and development solutions, and will ultimately stimulate the emergence of new technologies that will positively affect both the implementation of the CPK objectives and the competitiveness of the Polish economy.<\/p>\n
The cooperation of both entities assumes the use of \u0141ukasiewicz’s research potential in such promising areas as smart logistics infrastructure, modern construction materials or\u00a0systems of information management about threats in land and air transports.<\/p>\n
Miko\u0142aj Wild, president of the CPK company emphasizes that megaprojects are not only a positive stimulus for Polish GDP, the economy and the labor market, but also an impulse for the development of science and innovation. Due to the scale of the challenges, CPK experts must carefully observe the latest technological trends and, based on them, look for effective, sometimes absolutely new solutions. For this, cooperation with top-class specialists is necessary to create innovation not “art for art”. Thanks to the cooperation with the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network, CPK gains access to the knowledge and resources of the best scientific institutes in Poland and the opportunity to use the achievements of Polish science to support the transformational nature of the CPK program.<\/p>\n
Piotr Dardzi\u0144ski, president of the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network emphasized that the \u0141ukasiewicz institutes have the potential to implement multidisciplinary projects in the areas of transport, logistics, aviation, automation and new materials in partnership with large-scale enterprises. The \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network will use its know-how by acting as an R&D facility for the Central Communication Port.<\/p>\n
Joint projects of CPK and the \u0141ukasiewicz are to be partially financed from EU funds under the Horizon Europe program. In the race to obtain European funds, both parties of the agreement will be supported by the Center for Foresight and International Cooperation. It is a unit established last year at \u0141ukasiewicz – ORGMASZ, aimed at the internationalization of Polish science through involvement in the implementation of European research projects.<\/p>\n
