In this way, the concern wants to take full advantage of the opportunities and economies of scale in offshore wind energy. \u201cThe opening of the procedure for new location permits is very good news for the entire sector\u201d &#8211; wrote the president of PKN Orlen.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Baltic Power, part of the ORLEN Group, won a tender for the lease of land in the port of \u0141eba, intended for servicing an offshore wind farm. A service port will be located there to support the investment, planned for the years 2024-2026. During this time, around 70 turbines with a total capacity of up to 1.2 GW will be installed at sea. They will be serviced by a fleet of ships operating from the port in \u0141eba.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of the Baltic Power offshore wind farm is a joint venture carried out by the ORLEN Group and Northland Power. Located approximately 23 kilometers north of the Baltic Sea shoreline, at the level of \u0141eba and Choczewo, the total area of the investment is approximately 131 square kilometers.<\/p>\n<p>Northland Power Inc. is a Canadian company with over 30 years of experience in the design, implementation and management of energy projects.
