{"id":44321,"date":"2023-03-27T12:07:46","date_gmt":"2023-03-27T10:07:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dignitynews.eu\/?p=44321"},"modified":"2023-03-27T12:07:46","modified_gmt":"2023-03-27T10:07:46","slug":"gaz-system-to-receive-nearly-pln-600-million-for-a-key-gas-pipeline-to-increase-polands-energy-security","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dignitynews.eu\/en\/gaz-system-to-receive-nearly-pln-600-million-for-a-key-gas-pipeline-to-increase-polands-energy-security\/","title":{"rendered":"Gaz-System to receive nearly PLN 600 million for a key gas pipeline to increase Poland&#8217;s energy security"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gas Transmission Operator Gaz-System will receive more than \u20ac124 million in funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for the construction of a 253-kilometre-long section of the gas transmission pipeline between Le\u015bniewice and Wron\u00f3w.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main task of the new pipeline is to connect the hub and compressor station in Gustorzyn (in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship) with the hub and compressor station in Wron\u00f3w (in the Lubelskie voivodship). The project is divided into three phases: I Gustorzyn &#8211; Le\u015bniewice with a length of 54 km, II Le\u015bniewice &#8211; Rawa Mazowiecka with a length of (100 km) and III Rawa Mazowiecka &#8211; Wron\u00f3w (154 km). Construction of the gas pipeline is expected to be completed in 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The European Commission (EC) has granted the investment the status of &#8216;Project of Common Interest-PCI&#8217;. Therefore, Gaz-System will receive substantial support for Phases II and III of the pipeline, which are being constructed in the Mazowieckie, \u0141\u00f3dzkie and Lubelskie provinces. The European Commission has granted more than \u20ac124 million (around PLN 580 million) in ERDF funding for the construction of the 253-kilometre section of the gas pipeline between Le\u015bniewice and Wron\u00f3w. These are funds from the 2014-2020 programming period.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;This project will make a significant contribution to Poland&#8217;s energy security by diversifying gas supply sources and enabling gas exports to Lithuania, Slovakia and Ukraine&#8221;, said Elisa Ferreira, Commissioner for Cohesion and Reform at the EC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Gustorzyn &#8211; Wron\u00f3w gas pipeline project is part of the North-South gas corridor in eastern Poland in the system of gas connections in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe.
