Three universities contribute the most of them"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, the Warsaw University of Technology and the Wroc\u0142aw University of Science and Technology are the universities whose scientists publish the most articles on artificial intelligence in Poland. Between 2010 and 2021, 14,000 papers were written, counted the Information Processing Centre &#8211; National Research Institute.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For eleven years, from 2010 to 2021 &#8211; 949,000 publications on artificial intelligence (AI) were written worldwide. Most papers were published by researchers from China (257 thousand), the USA (140 thousand) and India (105 thousand). The Polish contribution &#8211; at 14,000 publications &#8211; results in a 1.5 % share.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, the high publication rate does not translate into the level of use of the results of the works by other researchers. In this area, the highest rate was achieved by papers written by scientists from Hong Kong and Switzerland. It may come as a surprise that only 196,000 publications were produced in international collaboration, according to the report &#8216;Artificial intelligence: publication achievements in science and technology 2010-2021&#8217;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among the European Union countries, the highest number of publications on artificial intelligence in science and technology was published by scientists from Germany (37 thousand), France (28.6 thousand), Italy (28 thousand) and Spain (26.6 thousand). Poland ranked fifth in this ranking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The works of Polish authors were characterised by a low level of citations as they were cited on average 34 % less frequently than similar works worldwide. The degree of international cooperation was also low. Only 27 % of publications were co-written by Poles with foreigners.
