{"id":42692,"date":"2023-03-08T13:17:36","date_gmt":"2023-03-08T12:17:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dignitynews.eu\/?p=42692"},"modified":"2023-03-08T13:17:36","modified_gmt":"2023-03-08T12:17:36","slug":"ministry-of-education-and-science-summarises-expenditures-for-the-development-of-the-humanities-in-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dignitynews.eu\/en\/ministry-of-education-and-science-summarises-expenditures-for-the-development-of-the-humanities-in-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Ministry of Education and Science summarises expenditures for the development of the Humanities in 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More than PLN 90 million, 44 beneficiaries and 8 competitions are the key figures describing the implementation of the National Programme for the Development of the Humanities in 2022, reported the Ministry of Education and Science.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2022, the National Programme for the Development of the Humanities settled three competitions in the module &#8216;National Heritage&#8217;, two in the modules: &#8220;Universals 2.2&#8221; and &#8220;Foundations&#8221; and one in the module &#8220;Universals 2.1&#8221;. The total amount of support was over PLN 90 million and was divided among 44 beneficiaries, including: 17 public universities, 8 institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) and 8 scientific societies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The institutions that received the largest pool of funds included: Warsaw University &#8211; over PLN 10.7 million, Jagiellonian University &#8211; over PLN 7.9 million, the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences &#8211; over PLN 6.5 million, the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences &#8211; over PLN 6.3 million, the Tadeusz Manteuffel Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences &#8211; PLN 6 million, the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin &#8211; over PLN 4.8 million, the University of Wroc\u0142aw &#8211; over PLN 4.4 million and the University of \u0141\u00f3d\u017a &#8211; over PLN 3.4 million.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The National Programme for the Development of the Humanities was created in 2011 as a response to the demands of humanities circles. Its assumptions were developed in consultation with the most prominent representatives of the humanities in Poland. The Programme aims to finance projects of significant importance to the state&#8217;s scientific and educational policy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The &#8220;National Heritage&#8221; and &#8220;Foundations&#8221; modules finance projects for the editing of sources and documents, editorial studies and compendia of knowledge for research on Polish cultural heritage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim of the &#8220;Universalia 2.1&#8221; module is to finance translations of the most outstanding monographs of Polish humanities into English, French, German, Italian, Spanish or Russian.
