Last year alone, it received construction permits for projects with a total capacity of 251.5 MW, and it has projects in the pipeline to increase this by a further 198 MW.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PGE&#8217;s strategy envisages that in 2030, 50 % of the energy generated by the PGE Group will come from renewable sources. The cost of the Group&#8217;s energy transformation-related investments is approximately PLN 75 billion, of which approximately PLN 35 billion are investments in renewable energy sources.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the Por\u0105bka-\u017bar Peak-and-Pump Power Plant, a PLN 1.3 billion project is planned. By 2028, four hydro-complexes are to be replaced and the asphalt concrete screen of the upper reservoir is to be modernised. As a result, the operation of the power plant is to be extended by a further 30 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In onshore wind power, PGE currently has a capacity of 773 MW, while projects with a capacity of 150 MW are pending if the so-called distance law is liberalised. The investment process for these projects is expected to take 5-6 years. Ultimately, in 2030, PGE wants to reach approximately 1.8 GW of onshore wind power capacity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the same time, PGE is upholding its plan to launch the Baltica 2 and 3 offshore wind farms, with a total capacity of 2.5 GW, being developed with a Danish partner in 2026-27. The Baltica 1 farm with a capacity of 0.9 MW PGE Baltica is to be implemented independently.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PGE is also investing in hydropower. In the D\u0119be Hydroelectric Power Plant, at a cost of PLN 220 million, four hydro-complexes are being replaced with new units, together with the modernisation of auxiliary installations. As a result, electricity production is expected to increase to 120 GWh per year, i.e. by around 17 %. The investment is expected to be ready in 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A programme for the installation of remote reading meters is also underway, with a total budget of around PLN 3.5 billion.
