The first Polish electric cars are expected to hit the roads in the second quarter of 2026″, announced Piotr Zaremba, president of ElectroMobility Poland. The most important tasks in the project to build the Polish Izera electric car for 2023 are to develop a competitive product and obtain a permit to build the factory.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Our task for 2023 is to carry out two stages of technical work with Geely – the supplier of the platform, to build the car on this selected platform, but also to prove to ourselves, to investors, that we are able to develop such a supply chain for this car, which will allow us to offer it at a competitive price. And this is the biggest challenge of 2023 considering the technical and the product parts of the project”, said Zaremba during the parliamentary subcommittee on electromobility.<\/span><\/p>\n

The company wants to obtain a development permit later this year, a so-called production tryout is expected at the end of 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThat is to say, the factory starts operating but does not yet produce the cars that go into showrooms, but this is the so-called test production. In Q2 2026, the first Isers will go into the distribution network and they hit the roads, hopefully a while later”, explained the CEO.<\/span><\/p>\n

ElectroMobility Poland was established in October 2016 as an initiative of four Polish energy groups, PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, Energa, Enea and Tauron Polska Energia. Each of them acquired 25% of the share capital. On 30 September 2021, the company’s share capital was increased through the acquisition of newly issued shares by the State Treasury, which thus became the majority shareholder.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2022, the company signed a licence agreement with China’s largest private automotive group Geely. The agreement concerned the provision of a dedicated technology platform for electric cars.<\/span><\/p>\n
