The contract covers the supply of 20 million tonnes and will be implemented from 2027.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Today we are signing a contract with Sempra for 20 million tonnes LNG. It is an American company, which is a significant player in the US LNG market. We will implement the deal from the beginning of 2027. It is 1 million tonnes per year, about 1 billion 200 million cubic metres of gas&#8221;, said PKN Orlen CEO Daniel Obajtek\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the press conference, the Orlen CEO stressed that the signed contract is important from a security point of view. &#8221; It is also an important day for all economies in the region&#8221;, Obajtek noted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sempra is an American energy infrastructure company based in San Diego, California. The company is one of the largest utility holding companies in the United States, with approximately 40 million consumers, and employs more than 20,000 people. Sempra focuses on electric and natural gas infrastructure, and its operating companies are: Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) and San Diego Gas &amp; Electric (SDG&amp;E) in Southern California; Oncor Electric Delivery Company; and Sempra Infrastructure with offices in California. The company says its assets were worth $72bn at the end of 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last week, PKN Orlen&#8217;s CEO announced several investments. They are expected to be worth PLN 34bn in 2023.
