As PKP emphasises, they are typical Innovative System Railway Stations characterised by a minimalist, functional and modern architectural form with a dominant clock tower.<\/p>\n
The Chrz\u0119sne railway station consists of two parts. The first section houses the passenger service area, i.e. the lobby which also serves as a waiting room and is equipped with benches, display cabinets, electronic train arrival and departure boards, a voice announcement system and a clock. It is also fully air-conditioned. The second part of the station houses the premises for hire. Bicycle racks have also been placed under the canopy, along with a repair station for bikes.<\/p>\n
On the roof of the station building in Chrz\u0119sne there are photovoltaic panels for the generation of “green energy”. The stations are equipped with energy-efficient and fully automated lighting.<\/p>\n
The new stations are fully accessible for people with disabilities, parents with children and travellers with heavy luggage. In addition, the new facilities are equipped with Braille signage, pathways for the blind and visually impaired, tactile maps and toilets adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.<\/p>\n
“The opening of the stations in Chrz\u0119sno and Barch\u00f3w is another element of the great modernisation of the Polish railway. The inhabitants of the Mazovian voivodship will thus gain access to safe and environmentally friendly railway infrastructure and the comfort of travel on the way to Warsaw and Bia\u0142ystok”, said Deputy Infrastructure Minister Andrzej Bittel.<\/p>\n
