The Ministry of Family and Social Policy announced that the call for applications for the new programme has already started.<\/h5>\n<p>&#8220;Seniors are eager to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the programme. They participate in activities, workshops and spend time together in a friendly and safe environment. I am glad that the houses and clubs created in such large numbers enable the elderly to live active and joyful lives&#8221;, said Minister for Family and Social Policy Marlena Mal\u0105g.<\/p>\n<p>Senior Plus is a programme to support local government units that provide places in support centres for the elderly. Its aim is to increase the active participation of seniors in social life. The programme is aimed at economically inactive people aged 60 and over.<\/p>\n<p>Municipalities, districts, and provincial governments can apply for funding under the Senior Plus programme. The programme finances both the creation of new Senior Plus Clubs and Day Care Centres, as well as supporting the operation of existing centres for the elderly.<\/p>\n<p>Senior Plus Day Homes are institutions that assist older people with activities of daily living and provide them with a minimum of one meal a day. Such homes must provide at least an eight-hour service from Monday to Friday. The aim of Senior Plus Clubs is to motivate people over 60 to volunteer and engage in self-help activities. Such institutions should provide at least 20 hours of services per week.<\/p>\n<p>Under the Senior Plus 2023 programme, funding for the establishment of Senior Plus Day Care Centres can amount to a maximum of PLN 400,000.
