The main idea of the Conference is to develop the relationship between Polish scientists and the largest Polish research network. The target audience is Polish scientists from research institutions, R&D centres of companies and innovative start-ups from outside Poland.<\/p>\n
Participants’ involvement will be focused on 4 key areas: scientific excellence, interdisciplinarity, science-business cooperation and commercialisation.<\/p>\n
Invited speakers include Prof. Artur Dubrawski (Carnegie Mellon University), Prof. Daria Go\u0142\u0119biowska-Tataj (founder of start-up Tataj Innovation), Prof. Micha\u0142 Kosi\u0144ski (Stanford University), Prof. Marta Kwiatkowska (University of Oxford) and Prof. Jurek S\u0105siadek (Carleton University). All of them are prominent Polish scientists working at leading universities around the world.<\/p>\n
The Conference is organised by the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network, consisting of 26 Polish research institutes across Poland and employing 7,000 staff, including 4,500 scientists. \u0141ukasiewicz is one of the largest research networks in Europe and focuses not only on research work, but also on the implementation of its results on an industrial scale by bringing together representatives of science and business and effectively seeking funding for the research and development sector.<\/p>\n
