Created from the merger of the existing five institutes that are part of \u0141ukasiewicz, the Pozna\u0144 Institute of Technology (PIT) began operating on January 1, 2022.\u00a0Thus, the second- largest research institute in Poland was established.\u00a0This merger significantly increases the research and commercialization potential and allows the unit to more effectively compete for customers and international R&D projects.<\/b><\/p>\n
The merger of the Pozna\u0144 \u0141ukasiewicz institutes is an opportunity to create a multidisciplinary research and development unit for activities taken internationally.\u00a0A strong and stable institute with a recognizable brand increases the possibilities of reaching customers with a wide and complementary offer, giving employees a sense of security and better development opportunities.\u00a0The greatest strength of the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network are ambitious and creative people, and one of the most important effects of integrating the institutes is to increase the attractiveness of the \u0141ukasiewicz Network as a workplace\u00a0– said Dr Piotr Dardzi\u0144ski, president of the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network.<\/p>\n
According to the assumptions of the Network – PIT will increase development opportunities and significantly expand the market offer.\u00a0New interdisciplinary research lines will be created, which will help in acquiring international grants and foreign business partners for projects with a high degree of innovation.\u00a0The \u0141ukasiewicz – Pozna\u0144 Institute of Technology is also planning to develop its infrastructure.\u00a0In the near future, an important objective is to build a campus where all research centers will be located in one place.<\/p>\n
Until December 31, 2021, five institutes belonging to the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network operated in Pozna\u0144 separately, including \u0141ukasiewicz – Institute of Logistics and Warehousing, \u0141ukasiewicz – Wood Technology Institute, \u0141ukasiewicz – Industrial Institute of Agricultural Machines, \u0141ukasiewicz – Plastic Processing Institute and \u0141ukasiewicz – Institute of Rail Vehicles “TABOR”.\u00a0A year ago, they undertook joint analytical work aimed at examining and determining the effects of merging these entities, together with the management of the \u0141ukasiewicz Network.<\/p>\n
From January 1, 2022, the \u0141ukasiewicz – Pozna\u0144 Institute of Technology combines all areas that have been represented by individual institutes so far.\u00a0The research centers of the new institute will work in the areas of wood technology, plastic working, rail vehicles, agricultural and food technology, logistics and information technology.<\/p>\n
