The joint project between ORLEN Group and Northland Power will use 76 modern 15 MW turbines from Vestas, whose components will be manufactured at a new factory in Szczecin.<\/p>\n<p>The turbine factory, which will employ up to 700 people, will be completed in 2024, while the ORLEN Group&#8217;s installation terminal at the Port of \u015awinouj\u015bcie will begin operation in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In addition to the advanced Baltic Power project, we have also applied for 11 new concessions for offshore wind farms in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea. This is a giant opportunity for our suppliers, as well as other cities, such as Gdansk where a second installation port is planned and Leba, where a service port will be built by 2025. Strategic investments in infrastructure and experience gained from cooperation with global leaders, is the way to build a new, prospective sector of the Polish industry&#8221;, said Daniel Obajtek.<\/p>\n<p>The first project to be implemented using the installation terminal in \u015awinouj\u015bcie will be Baltic Power, a joint venture between ORLEN Group and Northland Power. Thanks to the intensive work of almost 90 experts from 10 countries, it is currently the most advanced project in Polish Baltic waters. The company has already secured all the key components of the offshore wind farm as part of a supply chain that also includes companies from Poland.<\/p>\n<p>The Baltic Power farm, with a capacity of up to 1.2 GW, will be located about 23 km from the coast at Choczewo and Leba.
