Together with the Prime Minister, Climate and Environment Minister Anna Moskwa, Family and Social Policy Minister Marlena Mal\u0105g and Development and Technology Minister Waldemar Buda attended the conference.<\/p>\n
The government representatives emphasised that “we are bearing the costs of the European Union’s energy and climate policy today, as well as the costs of the war in Ukraine”. They also reminded that high energy costs are faced by citizens in all EU countries.<\/p>\n
A guaranteed energy price will apply up to 2,000 kilowatt hours per year for all households and up to 2,600 kilowatt hours per year for households with people with disabilities, three-plus families – i.e. families with a Large Family Card, and farmers.<\/p>\n
“In this way, we are simultaneously encouraging energy savings. I would like to emphasise that every household, including those consuming 2,500 or 3,000 kilowatt hours a year, will also benefit enormously, up to 2,000 kilowatt hours a year. Only the excess will be charged at a higher cost for next year,” informed the head of the Polish government.<\/p>\n
Polish families will be able to benefit from a reduction in their electricity bills next year. The condition will be to reduce electricity consumption in 2023 by at least 10 % compared to 2022. Energy efficiency will result in a 10 % reduction in energy costs. “We are introducing an additional solution for the benefit of all households”, said Morawiecki.<\/p>\n
An additional solution will be a subsidy of PLN 1,000 for those heating primarily with electricity, including heat pumps.
