The assumptions of the draft act on special solutions for certain heat sources in connection with the situation on the fuel market provide for limiting the increase in the price of heat and the cost of heating hot water for households and public utility institutions including hospitals or schools.<\/p>\n
The draft includes a so-called allowance for sensitive entities. It will be granted to those entities that incur the costs of purchasing hard coal, briquette or pellets containing at least 85 % of hard coal, wood pellets, as well as other types of biomass, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or fuel oil, used for heating purposes. This includes hospitals, units organising social assistance, night shelters, schools, cr\u00e8ches and cultural institutions.<\/p>\n
The one-off allowance for households will amount to PLN 3,000 where the main source of heat is a solid fuel boiler fuelled by wood pellets or another type of biomass; PLN 1,000 where the main source of heat is a solid fuel boiler, fireplace, brazier, air heater, cooker, oven or solid fuel tiled cooker fuelled with lump wood; PLN 500 where the main source of heat is a gas boiler fuelled with liquefied petroleum gas, and PLN 2,000 where the main source of heat is an oil boiler.<\/p>\n
A prerequisite for obtaining the allowance for a household will be proof of registration or notification of the heating source in the central register of building emissions. The support is expected to be valid for the entire upcoming heating season, i.e. from October 2022 to April 2023.<\/p>\n
