“Airborne” is a story set in a surreal world of animated, organic flying machines. When a military pilot, absorbed in battle, loses his target, tragedy strikes. His plane crashes into a treetop. What seems to be the end opens a new stage, and in the place of the catastrophe life awakens, destined to unravel the mystery of its origin, informs the Polish Film Institute, which co-financed the production of this seven-minute animation.<\/p>\n
“Such a great success of the film is a great honour for me, but also a confirmation that Polish filmmakers can compete with the whole world. Working on ‘Airborne’ was arduous, but so many awards show that it was definitely worth it”, says director Andrzej Jobczyk. The music for the film was created by Jakub S\u0142omkowski and Rafa\u0142 Smoli\u0144ski. Nikodem Chabior was in charge of editing and Martyna Siwi\u0144ska was the production manager.<\/p>\n

In addition to a great story, there are many elements in ‘Airborne’ that are worth appreciating: the dynamic animation of the elements of nature or the exceptional visual appeal of the created world. The whole piece creates a poignant image, telling the story of the constancy of evolution”, explains Piotr Szczepanowicz of Studio Letko, who took artistic charge of the animation.<\/p>\n
