It turns out, that the government’s reaction is related to the current situation in the coal market. Intermediaries buy coal for less than PLN 1,000 per tonne and sell to end-users for PLN 3,000 each.<\/p>\n
In the online store of Polska Grupa G\u00f3rnicza, the prices of coal and eco-pea coal are much lower than at middlemen. However, there are problems with serving the growing number of customers. According to PGG information, after the ongoing changes to the IT infrastructure, it will handle several times more buyers than before.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe encountered the problem of coal availability in the Polska Grupa G\u00f3rnicza. That is why we will redirect all available Polish coal, also increasing its output, to PGG. Some Polish brokers use raw material stocks made earlier, often purchased at much lower prices. They inflate prices, taking advantage of the situation that coal is needed in many Polish homes\u201d, said Minister Anna Moskwa.<\/p>\n
The minister of climate and the environment announced that redirecting all coal available on the market to PGG will allow having full control over its price.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can assure you that there will be plenty of this raw material in the fall and winter. I am also asking you not to repeat the Russian narrative about the lack of coal\u201d, she appealed.<\/p>\n
