The newest permanent exhibition “At the Radziwi\u0142\u0142’s home …” has been opened at the Museum in Niebor\u00f3w. The exhibition shows items from the former Radziwi\u0142\u0142s\u2019 residences, located in today’s Belarus, Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland and Germany.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

For the first time, the public was presented with a unique collection of porcelain from Korets and Baran\u00f3wka, from the collection of the Radziwi\u0142\u0142 princes from Balice, and the 16th-century horse armor and browband from the Nie\u015bwie\u017c (today\u2019s Niasviz) Castle.<\/p>\n

For centuries, the great estates of the Radziwi\u0142\u0142 family have been equipped by successive owners with beautiful objects – paintings, furniture, handicrafts or magnificent library collections.<\/p>\n

The Radziwi\u0142\u0142 palaces and castles focused on cosmopolitan cultural and social life, and the art collections emphasized the rank, identity and prestige of the family. With each new generation, meticulously collected family heirlooms have grown for years.<\/p>\n

The greatest treasure of the exhibition is the portrait of Stanis\u0142aw August Poniatowski by Elisabeth Vigee. The work was created in 1797 at the request of Stanis\u0142aw August\u2019s niece, Urszula n\u00e9e Zamoyska- Mniszchowa, for the palace in Wi\u015bniowiec.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is the most valuable item at our exhibition and its greatest pride. It has been thoroughly researched by us. Previously, it was located in the Museum of the Castle of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania in Vilnius. Now, it is being shown in Poland for the first time\u201d, says the museum’s curator Monika Antczak.<\/p>\n

The other objects presented at the exhibition are from the collection of the Trzy Tr\u0105by Foundation, the collection of Maciej Radziwi\u0142\u0142, the collection of Andrzej Wasilewski and the collection of Sylwester Rudnik.<\/p>\n
