Its main purpose will be to present the state of research on the life and activities of the great astronomer, as well as its impact on the development of science.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The event is co-organized by the Nicolaus Copernicus University (UMK) in Toru\u0144, the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn and the Institute of the History of Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw.<\/p>\n<p>The participants of the conference will include scientists from Polish and foreign scientific institutions. The events will take place from February to September 2023 in Toru\u0144, Krak\u00f3w and Olsztyn.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Copernican Congress will start in Toru\u0144. Then the deliberations of the congress will move in May to Krakow, in June to Olsztyn, and the ceremonial ending of the event will take place again in Toru\u0144\u201d, informs the Rector of the Nicolaus Copernicus University, Prof. Andrzej Sokala.<\/p>\n<p>Various thematic sections will be held in each city. Economists, philosophers and researchers of the history of these disciplines will be invited to Krakow. In Olsztyn, the sessions will be devoted to the biography of Copernicus, with particular emphasis on his education and the Warmian period in his life. Toru\u0144 will gather cultural experts, literary scholars and art historians interested in the place of the great astronomer in the culture of memory, as well as historians of astronomy and medical sciences.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the competition for the logo and visual identification of the Congress was completed.
